GCash invites Cebuanos to be part of the GNation
With the goal of providing more opportunities to aspiring tech professionals, leading finance super app GCash has ‘Put the G in Sugbo’, as it hosts the ‘GCash Cebu Open House’. The event aimed to tap the markets outside Luzon to create a more diversified GNation, by bringing the fair to them in Cebu.
The GCash office in Cebu has previously been limited to hiring commercial and sales professionals. This recently concluded recruitment campaign in Cebu marks a turning point, especially among tech professionals, who are now one of the top choices for GCash employment in the provinces.
Eight high-impact tech positions are open for recruitment in Cebu, including senior software engineer, solutions architect, senior Java developer, fraud detection lead, DevOps engineer, agile coach, on-duty manager, and QA lead.
In the continuously evolving fintech landscape, companies are finding the need to fortify their tech teams with the best talents from a diversified and wider pool of talent. GCash is determined to enrich this talent pool by expanding beyond the limitations of just sourcing from Metro Manila.
During the event’s ‘G to Succeed’ panel discussion, GCash Head of Delivery Engineering Lhor shared, “As long as you take care of your career and as long as you contribute to solving problems, GCash opens up opportunities for you and will fully support you.”
